Match 1: Spain 3-0 Austria — three-nil and still no goals against

Match 2: Portugal 2-1 Croatia — Ronaldo’s record, Ramos the hero
Toronto delivered the day’s marquee tie and its headline. Ivan Perišić opened for Croatia at 53′. Cristiano Ronaldo equalised from the penalty spot at 68′ — his first-ever WC knockout-stage goal, at 41. That already made him the oldest player ever to score in a World Cup knockout stage. Then, 90 minutes plus four, Gonçalo Ramos headed a Rafael Leão cross past the Croatia keeper for the winner. A stoppage-time Joško Gvardiol equaliser was disallowed for offside on VAR review. The winner came in regulation stoppage time — not extra time.
The narrative side matters for markets:

At BC Place in Vancouver, Switzerland were efficient. Breel Embolo scored in the opening exchanges (timed at around the 10th–11th minute across sources), and Dan Ndoye added the second at 46′. Group B winners with seven points, the Swiss cruise into M96 (7 July, BC Place, Vancouver) to meet the winner of tonight’s Colombia v Ghana R32 tie.
The Swiss outright price sits at 67.00 on the 3 July aggregator board — dark horse territory. Their R16 opponent is not yet locked, so match-line pricing is not yet posted for M96.

Expert Verdict — where the value sits going into Friday
Three straight-forward wins yesterday did not shake the outright market — the top six are unchanged and France’s 2.95 remains a hard floor. The two live signals were Portugal’s shortening (already reflected at 13.50) and Ronaldo entering the Golden Boot market at +6000 — a novelty line rather than a play.
The more actionable take for Australian punters: with Australia v Egypt priced 3.70 / 2.90 / 2.50 on the 3 July aggregator, the Socceroos are the drifter and Egypt the to-advance favourite in 90 minutes.
